While swimming and T-Ball were coming to an end we were spending as much time as we could with my sister and her fam. They were going to be moving to Cleveland Ohio at the end of this month and we wanted to see them as much as we could before they had to go. It was a very emotional time and still is some days, now that they have moved. We are so happy for them and for the journey they are on but man oh man do we miss them! We think about them every day and they are in our prayers. We love them soo much!! When the time came for them to head out we thought it would be a good time to go camping, to try to keep our spirits up. It ended up being a really fun trip. Rei, Jace, Rand and Trev all came with us. We camped at a place called Swan Flat. It was a really nice spot. Not to many bugs and pretty close to Bear Lake. We hung around camp, shot BB guns, rode the four wheeler and did some crafting. Oh and we tried to swim in the lake which was like a hundred yards out from the beach. And you had to walk through this yucky mossy grassy goo to get there. So needless to say not many of us swam. Besides that the lake was freezing! And just like we always do after being at the beach we went to shower and clean up. Normally these showers are pretty clean and warm for the most part but can I just tell you our shower started out pretty cold. So I thought ok it will get warmer as we go. Wow was I wrong! It was like there was no such thing as warm water. So we had to try to wash our hair and shave in this freezing cold ice water which by the way kept getting more and more cold. It was crazy! I have a ton of hair so I was freaking out basically the whole time so just imagine what my 2 year old was doing. FREAKING OUT! After the horrific showers we decided to go get pizza for dinner. It was so good and on that note we decided to head back to camp. After the showers we all had a hard time trying to warm back up so we tried to build a huge fire to snuggle up by. It stayed pretty warm in our trailer because we had a full house. We were in our bed and the kids were on the couch and table beds. Then Rand, Trev, Rei and Jace were all super cozy in the bunk house. It was a way fun trip and I hope we can do it again soon. Minus the showers.
Monday was the 4th of July and we decided to hang out at our house, eat sweet pork burritos and then go watch the Clearfield fireworks. Fun family, good food and great fireworks. They lasted for like 30 minutes! It was so awesome and the kids loved it. Happy 4th of July!!
