Easton's Belt Test

I know three posts in one day or evening and early morning of next day lame, but I needed to catch myself up. On Wednesday of last week Easton had his belt test and actually ended up testing for two! He was just going to go for the orange one but last minute we decided he should try for the blue one too. In the test for the blue belt he actually got to use a pair Kamas, which is a weapon with a curved blade on the end of it. His were obviously not real but he loved being able to have and use a weapon. Needless to say we had to buy that pair of Kamas. Fantastic. Weapons at home. No I'm kidding, kind of, but he did really good on the test day and we thought he deserved them. On Monday they did his belt ceremony and gave him his blue and orange belts. His face just lit up when the blue belt got tied on him. He just loves this karate stuff and we are so proud of him. He recently got invited to do private lessons with Sensi Josh and we are so excited for those to start. He will be learning form, technique and some tricking moves. We are so excited for him and are thinking about having him compete in October! I guess we will just see how things go but I know he would do it in a second and having the #1 ranked contemporary martial art competitor in the world as your Sensi isn't so bad either. Hopefully East will catch on quick to the tricking! So here are some pictures from the belt test.

Eryn's 3!!

Just so you know she is big now, or that's what she tells me anyway! Every morning right when she gets up she says mom I am big k and I just laugh and say ok Er. She is 3 going on 8! She had such a great birthday and loved all her Tinkerbell decorations and her wonderful cake (Thanks Gram!!) It was like Christmas for her I swear she got lots of clothes, a piano, a buggy stroller or as she calls it a stroller that looks at her ha ha, a hair station with her own pair of scissors (not real but very real to her), a doll that has hair to style and cut, glowing doodle pad, dance outfits, hair flowers, a purse and some bracelets and some monies (again as she likes to call it). Ya she made out like a bandit! Thanks so much to our families! She loves everything and we are just so thankful for all the love and support our families show us. It makes me so sad that she is growing up so fast but I love this phase of her life. She is such a little girlie girl and loves her nails painted and hair done which is so much fun for me. She starts dance the first part of September and we can't wait. She is going to love it! We love you so much Eries!! Yay for 3!

Lava

We decided to take a little vacation to Lava and it was really so much fun. Cody and I hadn't been in forever and the kids had never been at all so when we told them about it they were so excited and couldn't wait to go! We stayed in the same place we would always stay with my grandma when I was younger and it had gone a little down hill but was still fun because of the memories I had there. We got to the pool early Saturday and got a pretty good spot. The kids swam all day and went down the slides a bunch of times. Before this Eryn would not float by herself with a life jacket on and by Saturday afternoon she was jumping in off the side all by herself and floating around everywhere (thanks to Gram and Rand)!! It was so much fun to just watch her kick and float all by herself! It was such a fun little vacation and we can't wait to go there again!
